I'm sure everybody will agree that last
Tuesday's gig at The Roffen with Toby & The Two Timers
was nothing short of magnificent....this was a night
of not just World Class virtuosity but of wonderful entertainment too.
Thank you all for making the evening such a
success....it was good to see some old faces in the crowd & to welcome back
both Toby & Gordon & Sarah.
These days I usually put our own artists on as
a headline for one gig & for the opening slot for their second gig at the
club. Friday 10th is really a double headline night....Toby will do a
slightly extended first set followed by SoulKitchen. SoulKitchen have a
great sound....laidback, slinky, fluid...their website has some excellent
soundbites & is well worth a visit www.thesoulkitchen.net we're in for
some mature blues along the lines of T-Bone Walker (one
of my favourites), Freddie King & Robben Ford ~ Toby's repertoire is nothing short of staggering...you heard
some of his new numbers last Tues...well there's more. Gordon (of the Two
Timers) was blown away by Toby's show, he said to me "he's incredible, the most
entertaining act I've ever seen" ~ I'll drink to
that.
So don't miss what will be another outstanding
night's entertainment....still plenty of room at this show so get your table
bookings in.
Toby is appearing at other venues in the
area...& for those in London on my list check out The Spitz in Old
Spitalfields Market (a lovely venue) ~ he does a full show there on Monday
13th March (his last date) & is in Sevenoaks on Sat 11th....all the
